good question. before you start looking, be EXTREMELY careful when looking for the answer on the internet. The way I (broadly) see it, a furry is someone with way too much time on their hands who runs around in a suit like its Halloween more than once a year, and has a habit of partaking in furry cult rituals in, or outside of, the intarnets. Watch my series, it'll give you a good idea of what a furry is, but like I said, be extremely careful on the net when trying to satisfy your curiosity, and DON'T use image searches. Wikipedia is your best friend in this case, thanks for your review.
